Hello 59LesPaul it appears that you have not posted on our forums in several weeks, why not take a few moments to ask a question,

.......so that's what I'll do:

Here's my problem:My car was fine until today when a sudden problem reared it's ugly head.The idle suddenly roughend considerably,and it has absolutely no power off the line,or at all,for that matter.I had to drive back-after I had to abort my trip-and I was honnestly afraid I was going to get into an accident.

The thing is;I had a similar problem about two months ago;I put new plugs in,and everything was fine,until today

I'm probably not doing a very good job of describing the problem,but let's just say it feels like an ignition issue.I'm pretty sure if I do a complete tune-up;it'll probably solve the problem,but let's just say money is an issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated....

Hi,

How does the car idle? Does it have a inconsistant idle?

I would start by checking to see if theres any Codes to be read and look at your FPR if your bogging down that bad.

I started it up this morning;and in ran like a clock.The problem has disappeared,at least for now.Anyone who tells you cars are not living things is full of it.

When it does show the symptoms,it has a consistent rough idle.

I'm just hoping it's not the ICM;I just priced one,and they're not cheap.

I just wanted to provide an update:
It was the ICM.....and I'm not just going to be here whenever something is wrong with my car.....
