First thing to do is check fuel pressure compared to boost. They should rise 1 psi per psi with each other. Get a fuel pressure tester and run it from the schrader valve (near wiper motor) and run it under the hood and wiper blade (tape it to windshield).
Next, make sure the intercooler hoses are in good shape and secure
After that, check the VAF meter (what people call a VAM) hose going to the turbo inlet. Ensure the anti-collapse wire is still there. If not, cut out both ends of a soup can and stick it in there.
The VAF (Vane Air Flow) meter is the thing that the air cleaner is mounted to. It has a swinging vane that "measures" air flow through it and sends a varying voltage (via a wiper assembly) to the EEC to help schedule fuel delivery (injector pulse).
Do us all a favor, please keep the profanity off of the keyboard. Thanks.
