I did the EGR delete this weekend and there is no noticable difference in performance. And in doing so the check engine light pops on. I think it was a waste of time and effort on my part.

I'm not 100% but most people remove it for looks and more space. You can buy EGR simulators to trick the computer.

yeah your check engine light will be on because you took out the egr, and your comp still thinks its supposed to be there

Thanks guys for the info. Where do I find one of the ERG simulators? So is there more performance that im not really noticing?

I built my own EGR delete plate at work in the machine shop. I built it out of aluminumn.

what did you do to cover up the hole in the manifold?

I found a brass cap a plugged it off with that.

well you could have left the egr valve one there just cut the pipe off. i did that. so the comp. still reg. the egr even though its being tricked. and do just what you did plug up the hole in the manifold.
