Hi,

Is the CEL on?

It sounds like it could be missfiring or the engine/trans mounts are worn.

Hows the RPM's on idle?

seems to me if the motor mounts were any more solid the car would shake along with the motor more than it already does.. possible miss, but since the swap its got all new tune up stuffs, including accel coil.. strange thing is the car doesnt miss a beat when your driving it

I have the same problem. Mine vibrates at about 1800 rpms and disappears. I beleive mine is coming from the torque converter and not the engine. While the hood is popped and I rev it it looks to be a transmission issue? 88 MUSTANG 2.3

I think you should have already checked the torque converter nuts. Better yet, you should make sure any of the balance weights haven't come off of the converter. You may have to remove the trans to make certain.
