1991 Mustang 2.3L

My Mustang's automatic overdrive transmission front seal gave out and the fluid leaked out. When that happened the engine stopped and since then will turn but not start. Does anyone know if there is a cutoff switch to prevent the engine from starting when there is no fluid in the transmission? Thanks.

No,it should start regardless how much trans fluid is in it.Check to see if the inertia switch was tripped.
