Either a bad headlight switch or bad panel dimmer. The lights aren't wired through the ignition switch so they're able to be on when the key is off. However, if the headlight switch is in the off position, you've got a bad switch most likely.

Any auto parts store will have a pan gasket for an A4LD

When i turn the panel dimmer to the right side the door open sound starts coming on. Wen i turn it to the left it turns off. is it a wire theat is causing it or the switch itself?

i would go to any of your local parts stores... they will have the A4LD gasket, and you should switch out the filter while you have the pan off..

go to your local auto parts store and get a manual for it or go to ford and order the manual its like five times bigger and the paper is twice as thin i had one given to me and i dont use it because it would take longer to find what im looking for than to fix whats wrong.
