New guy here, cleaned on it today, changed oil, filter and OS. Tuned it up, man that's so much better.

Few this left to do. I have been reading about removing air silentser, mine is a FI 2.3, I suppose it has one too.

Bigest problem right now. The hatch will open but won't shut unless I slam it which I hate to do. The remote switch dosent work either. Would that have anything to do with this issue?

Yes the plastic piece wears out or missing. My bodyman used a piece of old water hose and fixed mine. I liked the price free. Autoparts places sometimes also have the part.

OK i see the plastic piece on the pic. I had looked at the one on the car and I didn't see anything that could be wrong with it, but it did not have a plastic sleave over the metal post.

I will pick one up at the Ford dealer tomorrow.
