 1993 Mustang LX- Whining Sound
Manuel 5 speed transmission.
Car is stock.
Yesterday I noticed my car had started making a whining sound.
It makes the sound in gears 1-3, don't really hear it in 4 and 5.
The sound seems to follow the revs of the engine... it gets louder/higher in pitch as the engine revs higher, and stops when I put the clutch in to switch gears.
The sound is not present when in neutral reving, or with the clutch in.
Also, the sound is only present when accelerating, not on decel or downshifting.
Any idea what is causing the sound? |
