I have a 93 Lx with a a4ld. My trans quit working and I found one out of a 90 Lx But the wires are different. On mine the plug closest to the front on the driver side has three wires but on the 90 it only has two. should I buy it or keep looking for one with the same plug?

The '93 A4LD uses three wires.

They are different. Your 93 has not only a lock-up converter like the early version, but it also has a computer controlled 3-4 shift. The 90 tranny will not work for you.
