Very simple. You have a power source, a ground, and then usually a green signal wire that connects to the negative side of the coil. The shift light is self contained, it'll plug into the tach itself. It'll take longer to mount it than it will to wire it.

you connect it to the ignition box.. i would not recommend one like that.. it goes up to 10 grand, i bet you cant get your car past 5500... find one that goes up to like 7grand
