Default tuning ford LA3 computers??

i need help finding someone to tune my notch, for at least a reasonable cost. a local shop wants $675 to tune it!! i live in eastern PA, anyone know of a good shop anywhere around here??

also, my car should benefit greatly from a tune, no?

I would say no. You could go to MAF conversion. Navy SVO is knowledge on it not me. I don't know you state of tune. 3" exhaust, adjustable boost control, cold air filter, FMIC intercooler with bypass valve, head work and several other things before tune the stock computer. If spending that much why not convert to megasquit. You will need to learn to tune. I am still running 8UA with all but the headwork. Sorry all the help I can be.

Dyno time is your only friend. You HAVE TO, repeat, HAVE TO have a wide band A/F metering system to be accurate.
Without a J3 chip, there isn't much tuning other than an adjustable cam sprocket, AFPR, and ignition timing.

3" exhaust, FMIC, manual boost controller, soon to be ranger cam so far.. problem is, a standalone costs a fortune.. i guess just as much as a good tune?

You cannot TUNE an LA3 without a Motes J3 chip. See my PM bro.
