Default I would like help choosing mod's for my 2.3l

So I definatly want to modify my 89 2.3l mustang. I want to get a lot more power out of it cheap.

I have been reading on here on some stuff, but it all seem's pretty expencive, or having to do with turboing it, or whole tear down's.

I currently have a short Ram warm air intake, but I really need to redo it and make a custom cold air intake. I read that people were using pvc piping to make cold air intake's, are they using like the white plastic pvc pipe or what?

I also have a cherry bomb muffler,I don't know if it is helping any or not but I got it so does anyone know if they actually give more power or what? I do not have the tail pipe on it either so it's dumping the exaust right after the muffler.

is there any throttle bodie's off any different car's that will fit on the 2.3l or also does the 1993 have anything that can be put on the 89 to make it faster. What is there really to do that's cheap to these honestly?

Is there any how-to's for me to read?

I kinda found somthing, but not sure if this is correct or not but is the Ford Ranger Throttle body bigger then the stock 89 throttle body?

Also I am thinking about removing all the wieght out of the car that I can, like my sub's and spare tire, jack and all that stuff like that.

Tomarow I am going work on re routing the cold air intake into the fender and straight down to the front bumper area but not to low. I am going to use PVC if I have enough pipe.

Considering my car doesn't have very much power to begin with, I think I will remove the throttle body and clean the inside of it and also clean the inside of the intake manifold right considering the throttle body is right there. The only reasion I am going to do this is to try to gain back some power because I knowticed there was some carbon build up in my throttle body when I had the intake of.
