yes it makes a difference if it is a 2.3 or 5.0 as far as I know.
what I was planning on was strange 10 way adjustable struts and competition engineering shocks for regular street driving and occasional track use. thats what was recommended to me for what I wanted but it depends on what your going to be doing.
I asked someone at 50resto.com if it mattered a little while ago and this is what they said:
