Default 2.3 with a Volvo head

so on youtube there is a video of a guy who put a Volvo B234 DOHC head on his 2.3, has anyone else done this conversion?

this is acctually a big conversion after you swap to a 2.3t motor many people have done. this swap.

so you have to swap a 2.3 to a 2.3 turbo, then you can put the volvo head on. Whats the improvment? I mean does it give you more power?

well... it does not have to be forced induction, but if you do not plan on winding it up you won't gain much.

the real gains come at high RPM. but honestly, who builds a naturally aspirated 2.3 for big hp? the expense of this conversion would not be worth it unless you are huffing it.

ive found the best thing to do is to just do the turbo swap then do the Folvo swap and buy the dohc off of ebay there like $350 to $500 but i think its worth it.

i was working out the math on this a while back and came up with a shade over a grand or so to do this swap. with me doing the majority of the work. really only letting the machine shop do what machining needing done.

now, my question is this. "worth it?"

so what mods do you have to do to the head to get it to work, Also does the mustang computer and EGI work with that head? And would the turbo header fit on it?

if you follow the link all that is covered. you have to make a custom exhaust manifold as the volvo unit places the turbo right where the starter goes...
