will a a early 80's 5spd and all the parts to make a car 5spd fit my '92? parts as in flywheel, clutch, pedals, tranny mounts, and bell housing. need to know found donor car but dont know if stuff fits

the early 80's cars had 4-speeds in them, not the 5.. i would find a car that is closer to the year of the car you want the tranny to go into

WRONG! my buddies 84 has a 5 speed. Bone stock GT.

i am not sure why he has a 5-speed.. unless it was swapped in.. but that tranny would not bolt right up to your motor.. you would need a 2.3l bell-housing, so none of the clutch parts would work.. the gear ratios are not the same.. its possible, but i would look for a better fitting car

some 84's had a 5 speed, some did not,
Any way i spwaped my 93 auto to a 88 manual the bell housing did not match the back of my engine perfect (it does not have the bottom bolts in it) but i was told that it would be fine to stick it in the car anyway and i've had the tranny in there for a while and never had a lick of trouble with it

Good Luck, the clutch pedal is a ***** and by far the worst part of the operation

I bought a bell housing form a 92 manual 2.3 but it still was not the same exact pattern as my 93 auto, i was told that they have different oil pans, but it works fine to stick the tranny in their anyway
