Default 2.3 Liter Coil Packs

1993 Vert LX 2.3:

I know there are two coil packs. I just bought the car and I am tuning it up. When I look online at AutoZone, they show one for like 50.00. I need two of them though, right? And they are both the same right? Just buy two, right??

Thanks for the response. I am new to this whole idea of 8 plugs and two coils. BTW, does the car have a distributor and rotor if it has coil packs? I have a Chilton's and Haynes, but they are not real clear on that.

I just got through with changing plugs, wires and the coil packs. A nice increase in acceleration is the result. The motor runs smoother as well. Now if I could just figure out why my Tach does not work.

Thanks for the suggestions! I am going to get on all of that and see if it helps. I have not even opened the fuse panel yet. I just bought the car about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I hope it is a fuse! If it is the cluster, can I option for one of the 140 MPH ones I see on Ebay, (just for looks/fun), or do I have to stick to the original style?
