Default 87 2.3 Ignition

I have a 87 2.3 i have had it about 3 months and i do not know alot about these cars i have searched around a little about my problem but did not really see anything to help me. My problem is in my ignition switch (Key) it acts like it has a short in it if you hit a bump or turn the wheel or even pull up or down on the wheel the car will shut down and you have to grab the key and turn it forward again to get the power back. i went and bought a new ignition from autozone put it in thinking my old one was wore out but the new one does the same thing? If you take the key and hold it while you turn it forward a little it keeps it from shutting off on bumps or moving the wheel but i cant drive always holding the key. I am at a loss of what this could be? It is very very sensitive on touching the key and stuff but if you twist it forward just enough to put pressure on it it will not do it. Is there any other internal parts after you remove the switch that i could replace to fix this? I have thought about just bypassing the whole steering column switch and putting in a push button from autozone but im not sure what wires are what so i can do it. Anyone help me out with a solution?

What part did you replace? the keylock cylinder or the actual ignition switch down on the steering column under the dash?

Replace the actual ignition switch and you'll be fine.
