Finding gear ratio on 5 speed transmissions in 2.3 mustangs for dirt track racing

I am new on this site so if I posted in wrong place sorry,we have 2 Ford Mustangs that has 5 speed transmissions in them,how do we figure out the gear ratio in them,one is a 1984 and the other is a 1985 to 1987,not sure on exact year,can anyone give me any ideas how to figure this out?

im sure u could call ford and give them the casting numbers and they should be able to tell you

There should be a metal tag (just like a rear axle ID tag) attached to the trans where the tailshaft bolts to the main gear box. There should be a number on it that starts with 1352-

That's the key to identifying T5 5spd transmissions.
