Default ? on 87 2.3 turbo swap with no computer!

Ok i got whole motor out of a 84 turbo coupe with turbo.. i put the engine all by my self... the Question i have is i used the stock computer of the 87 lx 2.3 mustang i put it in.. I had an exhaust pipe about 2 feet long with nothing on it 2 1/2 in pipe.. well the problem is. I got it runing on the stock computer and it ran strong as hell.. i mean 1st and 2nd gear it would spin not hooking up intill 3rd. well the problem is that after a day of driving it.. i was giving it hell but anyways the turbo locked up that same day.. It was getting oil but i think there was a water leak. i just want to know what could of caused that.. In my opion i dont think haveing a turbo computer not in it would of caused it to lock up. i want to know why this happend because i just bought a 85 svo turbo off ebay and i want to put it back togeather but i dont want to lock up another turbo..

P.S. It ran great when it ran with a stock NA computer...

Dude,
A N/A computer can't run that engine properly. You need to use the ECM from the turbo donor car. A N/A speed density ECM doesn't have any way of reading flow from the VAM.

your turbo locked up probably because the center bearing is bad. as far as the computers are concerened, you need one from a turbo car, make sure its for a five speed not an automatic. you also need a vane air meter.
