Default heater blows fog!!!!

whenever i turn my heater on or ac (that doesnt work) it blows a fog that films on the inside of the windows that wont wipe off. i think its my heater core.

I think you are correct. They are a beaacch to change out. You have to take the dash most of the way out if I am not mistaken. I changed one out on my dad's 85 model gt a few years ago.

Yep, has a sweet smell. Time to fix before it blows. Or tie the two heater lines together under the hood. Also dash has to come out. Done it to my 89 turbo. mac 91 junctiion KY is that Junction City if so we are fairly close. Good luck with it. Maurice

Almost certainly the heater core. And it can only get worse!

Yeah my 85 camaro blew a heater core in the middle of a race aginst a 07 gt mustang. I know with it i had to pretty much take the dash out. That is one thing no man likes to see.

Before you go to the trouble of pulling the heater core, you might try a good radiator sealant, like Aluma-seal or another product. For a few dollars, it would be worth the effort.
