1990 vert, check engine light flashes at times, engine skips I have a 90 vert that I've recently converted to a T5. While I had the engine out I replaced a lot of stuff. Timing belt, header, converted to roller cam, new ACT, EGO, cleaned all other sensors. But for some reason she'll fire right up and run fine, then skip, black smoke and the check engine light will flash a bit. When I rev it up the light also will flash on briefly. What's up with that? I've not put a radiator on it yet, so it has no coolant. So I can't run it long. Is the ECT giving a bad reading because it has no coolant? There's no error codes on the PCM. Any ideas guys? I've double checked valve timing and ignition timing. I've unhooked and capped all vacuum items except the MAP and FPR just eliminate a vacuum leak. Thanks in advance for the help.
