Default t-5 transmission tail stock bushing replacement

has anyone ever changed the bushing in the end of the tailstock of a t-5 transmission? it looks straight forward but i've been told the tranny has to be removed to do this, any info would be great.

some transmission shops and ford dealers have the tool to remove it and install it with out removing the tail housing, call around or remove your tail housing. bigG

It is pressed into the housing.

Just call a local trans shop and ask them for a quote. If they won't give you one over the phone, then steer away from them. It is a straight forward procedure.

i called a tranny shop, quoted me 1 1/2 hours, said it's easy, but it might not get rid of my shake, he also told me that a good way to tell if the bushing is gone is if you can grab the driveshaft at the slip yoke, and move it up enough to make fluid leak out the seal it's wore.
