was wondering what brand turbo is on a 1979 mustang 2.3 turbo? what is the trim on the turbo also?

IIRC its got a special T3 made especially for it and it cant fit nonthing else and the turbo wont fit nonthing else. YOu may get better answers from FEP or SVOCA. Other wise be real patient for this site.

SVOCA will not entertain this question, as it is a site for SVOs which are fuel injected.

FEP is your best bet.

I'm pretty sure other than the 87-88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupes, they all had Garrett T-3's, even the carbed versions. The carbureted models were draw through so the seals on the impeller side had to be compatible with a wet charge.

There's alot of application specific junk you'll need to either acquire from a donor or fabricate. It wasn't as simple as the EFI setup.
