Default 4 cylinder T5 heavy duty parts?

I have a 1966 Mustang with a 200ci inline 6 engine that I will be swapping a 5 speed transmission onto. The transmission came off of a 87-88 Mustang with the 2.3 Liter engine. I will be adding a forced induction setup eventually. Does anyone know if heavy duty internals are available for these these transmissions? Where can I find these parts? Thanks.

The T5 from an '87-'88 Mustang is a World Class T5. They hold up behind 300-400 hp turbo 4 setups. The only things you may want to do is replace the front bearing collar with an aluminum one from Hanlon Motorsports and swap the shifter for a Tri-Ax.

I may be wrong but I don't think a T5 will mount behind an inline 6 without a specialized bell adapter.

If it were a 250ci six, he could use the same bellhousing as an SBF The 200 is different. The bellhousing is smaller and mounts the starter in the 10 o'clock position as opposed to the 7 o'clock position on the SBF

I thought the 2.3 T5 and the 5.0 T5 were different because the 2.3 one was weaker.

The pilot on the input shaft is smaller, but it has the same clutch spline count and diameter as the 5.0. It's geared differently and the gear ratios determine it's ability to handle torque. The 2.3 T5 won't handle the same torque load that the 5.0 T5 will although the bearings and synchros are the same.
