Hope this helps!!
vert=convertable, notchback=car with trunk, hatchback=car with hatch (has glass hatch in rear instead of conventinal trunk).

The Hatchback has a hatch, the coupe has a trunk, and the convertible is a coupe with the roof hacked off by ASC

the verts are the heaviest, then the hatchbacks, then the coupes come in at the lightest of the three

Since the mustang is a uni-body design (No big heavy steel frame under it.), it relies on the roof and floor pan for its support. Convertables have extra supports running through the floor to stiffen up the chassie thus making it heavier.
