Question Coolant Temp Sensor?

Where is the coolant temp sensor located on a N/A 2.3L? And can i change it myself?

there's 2, one for the fan control module, and one for the ecm, which one do you want to change?

the one for the ecm. And also if its not to much more where is the fan control module.

the one for the computer is inbetween injectors #2 and 3.. i just switched mine out.. it was tough, but not hard

the one for the gauge is on the drivers side of the block, towards the back of it

Thanks that helped alot i have been looking for mine all day, and the one for the ecm is the one with the two prong plug right?

yes, also the fan controller is under the dash on the driver side, if you unplug the temp sensor, with key on engine off ground the wire the fan should come on, have someone ground and un ground it for you while you find the clicking noise under the dash. if it clicks and the fan isn't coming on the fans probabally toast. test that buy jumping the fans pos/neg at the fan harness, it will spin backwards if you hook it up backwards.

Fan sensor is a single wire sensor in lower intake. Ground it fan should come one. This is on the 2.3 until they went to 8plug with the module on the passenger fender then the 2 wire ecm controls the fan thru that module.

Upper one circled is the ECT for the EEC

Lower left circled is for fan

Lower right is for the gage in the dash

ok and all three r COOLANT TEMP SENSORS? CUZ IF SO i can jus buy 3 and replace them all correct???

o ok so wich is the COOLANT TEMP SENSOR, COOLING FAN SWITCH, and TEMP SWITCH? Or if i have the names wrong can someone let me kno wich is which please so i can jus replace all
