Talking my spring project

Well since spring is around the corner that means slot of people have projecs they probably are waiting to do to their cars and as for me I have A spare 2.3 sitting around and a 4 speed trans. So I think I'm gonna to this infamous turbo project I'm gonna tear down the spare 2.3 built it up to turbo specs and hope to get at least 350+ hp out of it, then I'll take my auto trans out put the 4 speed in and have me one hell of a fun car. So let me know what you think and give me any hints tips or tricks you may know. Thanks

Good luck, I assume done the research on it. Forged pistons, lower compression, proper head etc. What 4speed are you using the early ones on the carb 2.3 were not to strong? Thought I would throw that out there.

I don't know the exact model of the trans but I do know it will work with the 2.3. Yes I have don't the research I'm just a little confused on the vane meter. Is that a requirement or just something that doesn't have to be used but is anyway? I've looked for turbocoupes around my area but can't find any so I'm gonna do it the long way (I have time) so is there any recomendations on what turbo to get? I know about turbos a little bit but I'm fairly new to them. Thanks for the help

Vam necessary with turbocoupe computer. Or can chip a turbocoupe computer for maf. Do search or pm Navy SVO to find out how. Pretty complex. I would start out with vam and turbocoupe computer. As far as computer be careful of the Asian turbo. They like to fail badly. Not good. Plus if find good turbocoupe. Don't pull it apart for motor restore it. They are nice rides and getting rare. Good luck

ok so now i know thats a must. as for the asian turbo? you mean like a foreign turbo unit? and with the turbo coupe there is literally none of those cars where i live. ive only seen one and thats not for sale
i live on the eastern shore of va with not much of that stuff around so its kinda hard getting ahold of this stuff with the exception of the internet.
