Default 1990 Mustang (4 cyl) swap to 305
so i wanna swap a 1976 350 maverick engine and tranny into a 1990 4 cylinder automatic lx. now i dont know all too much about it but would anyone happen to know if mounts and cables would match up at all? engine and tranny in mint condition, only has around 30'000 miles on it.

Do you mean a 302 out of an old Ford Maverick?

'90 LX coupe , 2.3 Fi. auto. Grocery getter-1/8 mile killer. Mods: removed airbox and silencer, added short cone filter. New exhaust including header and 40 series FLOW, Weld Draglite Skinnies in front, 8.5's with 275/60/15 M/T ET Streets on the rear.Thats right, I EXPLODED a 7.5" posi unit at the track. I sure do miss it.
I'm like a duck, calm and cool on the surface, Paddling like HELL underneath.

the maverick was a 302

the 4cyl to 5.0 swap is not that difficult

what is the motor you want in there. ford did make a 351 that is the same block as the 302.. so it would fit in there, without a ton of work
