2.3T D.I.S. vs. MSD debate Has anyone found a way to make a 2.3T running an LA3 EEC IV run with distributorless ignition? Will the Ford system run with the EEC IV? I have found a few aftermarket systems online yet none of them seem very definitive. Perhaps with a J-Chip and tune?
and to play my own devils advocate, whats wrong with just running an MSD system? Are there advantages disadvantages to the conversion? Would a DIS gain that much more power or ability to tune? Being a 4Cyl, doesn't the coil have more than enough time to regenerate enough power to put out maximum spark?
I'm riding the fence here on wether or not it would be worth my effort to look into this more so please, let me know your thoughts. |
