Default 1988 Mustang 2.3, cylinder compression helpppp

on an 88 2.3 turbo what should the cylinder compression pressure be???

Anything under 120psi is borderline running. Anything over 8-9% leak down, the engine needs a rebuild. More like your generic compression/leak health of the engine numbers.

We are talking premium performance short of going south is more on the ragged edge for argument sake rather than a 10% leak and a 100psi compression reading = Junk is I am surprised it start with those low numbers.

we'll he got 91psi on the front 2 cylinders and 120psi on the rear 2...what should the cylinder pressure be between on an 88 2.3 turbo???

i would try gasket and see if it fixes it. cause thats a ton easier to change, but if it doesnt fix the problem, then i would say rings too

ok my bro just told me he put a new head gasket in before he put the motor in..soo i'm guessing rings???

i had a '92 n/a and head gasket was going and compression was starting from front of engine, 60,80,90,120. and it started and ran lol. sucked a lil water. alright on gas lol no power. but still started ok and went down they road till the rest of the gasket went.
