I need some idea's on this transmission problem.1989 mustang lx with 2.3 engine. I backed out of driveway in reverse, could not go forward in any gear. Now can't go forward or backward. Shifts into all gears but not moving. I changed fluid, filter, vaccum modulator, adjusted bands. Fluid was not discolored an not excessive grime in pan. Car only has 44000 miles on it. Any ideas?

remove a cooler line to see if fluid is pumping out when starter if so pump is ok, torque converter or input shaft may be at fault, big G
