Default Wanting some cheap power

Ok, so a friend and I raced today ( I know thats sad in a 2.3 ) but he beat me by a car link. I am just wondering what I can do to get fast enough to beat him. I have a 268 cam and a 5 speed. I know you can run with less fuel in the tank and take the air cleaner off but what else? Is there anything bolt on that would work. And i'm not wanting to spend all that musch. Mabe $75, any ideas?
