Default Transmission changed, now the engine ticks.

I put in an A4LD for this guy and as soon as we started it the engine was ticking. It was completely quite before we took the trans out.

Is this even possible?

I did not touch anything on the engine.

I did over shoot the converter bolts a few times and turned the engine and turned it opposite of the way it normally turns. I have done the same thing many times before and never a problem. Could that have any effect on the engine?

The guy thinks I messed up his engine and I told him I didnt do anything to the engine, but I had to admit that it did not do that before I put the trans in.

The header to pipe bolts were not tight at the time and it was to late to tighten them. Could that have had an impact? I heard the sound of a muffler leak but there was also a clear ticking, wtf!

I just dont understand how it could go from quiet to ticking without working on the engine, only the trans. Sounds like under the valve cover on the passenger side.

Im going back tomarro and I really need some answers
