 1980 2.3 turbo acceleration issues
My capri is having an issue where I pull away from a stop and it gets to about 15 km/h completly fine, but then is sluggish til around 30 and is then fine again. The accelerator also needs to be pushed down nearly the whole way before anything happens. It sounds like the turbo is working to hard. I have adjusted my wastegate, and the turbo was rebuilt in the summer along with the engine being rebuilt in the spring. The car does have some missing vacuum lines, and the throttle cable may be routed improperly. |
