1989 LX Jumps and nearly dies when coming out of 1st gear

When i try and peel out in 1st the car just jumps a little then it stalls for a milisecond then it goes. I wait till about 3500 RPM's to pop it into 1st. then i let go. It jumps maybe a little then it feels like its not gonna go then it catches. any help.???? I just replaced the Clutch. had the flywheel resurfaced. another ? Is my tranny a T-5 Borg Warner. 1989 LX convertible.

it is just the nature of the beast.....

it takes power to do a burnout and the majority of the 4 bangers are lacking in that department.....

yes you have a T5....

WELL what would give me enough power to drift.?? and what tires are good for this.???
