Exclamation 2.3 Automatic to Manual Transmission

Hi!
I have an 1990 2.3 Ford Mustang with A4LD automatic transmission...that i restored.. when I bought it, the transmission was out of the car.. it was inside the trunk...
I'm not happy with the automatic transission that I complete rebuilt.. and i'd like to change it to a manual transmission and turbo-charge the engine...
But.. i live in Brazil.. i'd like to know if is it possible to install the Manual Transmission of an 1995-1997 Ford Ranger with the 2.3 engine on my 2.3 Mustang engine??
Because i can find easy this transmission here in brazil...'
If it is possible, what else should i change?!!?
Flyweel?, Starter Engine?
Thank you very much!
Best Regards!
Thico!

If you want a turbo, you need the T-5 transmission. You're better off to just go buy a 305 mustang.

No. Everything bolts up. But look on internet of a picture of a t-5 and a Ranger trans. The problem is the shifter location. If put it a Mustang shifter would be in dash. Seen a picture of a t-5 in a Ranger and the person had to cut notch out of seat. You can make it a heavier duty one by this link. Project Frankentranny – AKA A4LD / 4R55E / 5R55E Hybrid Project - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts Serious Explorations
A4LD to Frankentranny Rebuild - Glacier Questions? - Ford Explorer Ranger Enthusiasts Serious Explorations A A4LD can be built for 300hp engine. You have another option I just thought of. A c-4 can be installed behind the 2.3 like me. A c-4 maybe more available. The c-4 bellhousing maybe have to locate. [Came out of late 70's Pinto] Some come over e-bay. If want to go that route, let me know I can provide info.
Some other info maybe there if do some searching. As far as going turbo. For you not having easy access to parts. Turboford.net has a good search. A donar car is best way. But finding a turbocoupe there maybe a problem. It can be done to a Normal 2.3 with some knowledge and parts. If interested let me know can furnish links. Maurice

Hi! thanks for your reply!
well.. find a donr car here is almos impossible..
Just for you to have an ideia, the only one 1990 Ford Mustang 2.3 in my city is mine one... there mybe 3 or 4 cars of that here in brazil...
There are no ford pintos here too...
The only thing that uses a "similar" engine that whe have here in brazil s the Ford Ranger...
a Mustang here in Brazil is a car for Fews ans costs a lot of money...so.. it's almost impossible to find one Mustang in a Salvage...
I searched on E-bay, but the transmision is too heavy and it's very complicated to ship it to brazil... i often buy parts for my mustangs and other american cars that i have on e-bay.. but i ever bought HEAVY things...
Does an one have any other ideia of what to use there to make my car run with an manual transmission!?
Thank you all for your help!
Best Regards!

Maurice...
Do you know if the C-4 transmission (manual)is the same transmission that ford used on the '70 Ford Maverick with the 2.3 engine!?
If so, there is a friend that just bought a 302V8 and he changed the his Maverick transmission and he maybe will sell it...
If tis is the one, it will be easier?!
Thanks a lot!
Best!
