i have a 1993 mustang lx 2.3 at transmission, it was working fine till i changed the transmission mouldilter, i took it out ,fulid spilled, put the new one and replaced the fulid that spilled. now the car hits first then 1/4 way into second it starts to slip then once i hit like 35mph thrid and fourth grabs good and i also notice the transmission very hot when i put back the old mouldilter trying to fix the problem. do i have to change the tranny? maybe replace the fuild . what can i do?

what type of fluid goes into the tranny.????80 W gear oil?????

Changed fuild and filter and still slipin Thinkin of overhauling any is there any book I can use for this?
