Hey guys does anyone know if i can just get some roller rockers/lifters to just bold right on my 2.3L.. right now i have a walsh racing mild cam i have had the motor bored .30 over and i have a holley 350 carb... the car is consiterably faster than it was stock but now im just looking into things that can possibly make me rev a little faster and free up some horses on the valve train...

IS THERE A BIG DIFFERENCE IN ROLLER???

Will roller rockers loosen up my drive train? I HAVE THE FLAT TAPPETS NOW THAT ARE JUST METAL TO METAL??

WILL VALVE CLEARANCE/ SPRINGS BE AN ISSUE???

It is not just an issue of throwing roller followers in. There are two types of camshafts, roller and slider (the non-roller type). You can't mix and match pieces together.

okay sorry im a nube.... i thought i could get ones that had no different ratio to them and they would take away the friction guess i should have got a roller cam then hu?

Racer Walsh sells roller cams and lifters, get some. How much HP do you have?

Yeah thats where i got the cam and i really didnt know much about motors at the time and i was looking more at price also..so thats why i didnt get roller the first time..NOW IM REGRETING IT...

I dont know ide estimate between 150 and 170RWHP I also have a 89 5.0 Liter to compair it to so yea prolly a little under 200 hp... The cam really sounds great with lots of lowend power... i'de just like to rev a little higher and faster, ya know?....
