Default 2.3l swap out to 2.3l turbo

Aight so i've been reading the best thing to do to a stock 2.3l is to swap out to a 2.3l turbo engine...

Couple noob questions, is this possible for all the 1990 body styles, i got myself a 1990 convertible 4 cylinder automatic, Im looking to do this upgrade, but is it possible for my car? and uhh...which engine would be best to look into? Im assuming I'd have to go to an auto wrecker, but which car model/make is best, or which have you guys used?

Noob questions for a very eager mustang owner [I have this kick that i just wanna upgrade my ride so bad lol]

Engine swaps are rarely economical or practical unless you have access to a shop and alot of money and parts...sell the car and buy what you want, it will be MUCH less money and heartache...I'd recommend the V8 mustang as it is plentiful and easier to upgrade

Cool

2Manystangs has a valid point. That's one way to do it. However, if you're young and want to learn, there is no better way than to do your own swap! Granted, a fully equipped shop and unlimited funds is everyones dream but in reality very few of us have anything close to that. A lot of guys are pulling engines with a chain lift wrapped around a tree branch and doing most of their parts shopping at the local junkyard! If you have basic tools and some common sense, go for it! Start by reading this article and then check out www.turboford.net and www.turbotbird.com and do lots of research...........................

Thanks a lot guys, ya i went to my mechanic and he said the exact same thing.

What I think im gonna do is just keep my 2.3l and just enhance it a bit, im not really sure tho....tint + k&n filter + air silencer removed + new exhaust, something like that...either that or just sell it and get a 5.0
