I have a 2.3 EFI with 268 cam in it. I haveing put a degree wheel on the cam to do the advanceing. I just used the marks on the engine to guage how much I wanted to advance it. I advanced it to what I thought was 8 degrees and it wouldn't roll till 3,000 rpm but made some awesome power on the high end. I would like to advance it without killing my bottom end to much. Does anyone know about how many degrees it should be?

I can't give you actual numbers, but usually advancing the cam gives you more low end, and retarding it gives you more top end, are you sure you didn't retard it?
