First of all i'd like to thank the ppl who have actually helped me with my problems.
Now. The air intake muffler has been removed and the car stopped choking. I simply had to reset the MAFS by unplugging the battery for five minutes or so.
I changed the fuel filter and it was dirty. I could blow through the filter but the gas coming out of it was brown and dirty looking.
I'm still in the process of finishing the trunk with carpet all over and I made a new spare tire cover at work with some new masonite and contact cemented a clean rug over it so it looks nice. I'm going to cover the spare tire hole and leave the tire clean and exposed until you cover it with the new cover.
I got a nice arm rest from the junk yard today for 5 bucks. I was surprised.
I also was lucky enough to find a steeda clutch quadrant for my boys 5.0.
Now I still have some problems.
1. I need to know where I can buy a intake pipe for the 2.3l. I have the filter cone but I need a nice pipe to go to it. 3" pvc pipe is to big where it connects to the throttle body and to piece it together it'll cost 35 dollars or so. Can anyone point me in a direction for a good looking cheap way out?
2. Should I drop the gas tank and clean it if it was that dirty? Did it harm the engine? What should I do?
3. Is there any special paint for the interior of the car like the armrest? How about the engine compartment? I wantt to do under the hood in ford blue.
Hey.
I don't know about some of the other stuff, but about the paint, for the armrest, the best option is Duplicolor vynil and cloth spray paint. It's high quality and only about $10 per can, it will paint just about anything that you can find in the interior of your car.
And about the engine compartment, if you only want to paint the hood, just regular paint should be fine. What could be pretty cool would be to paint the heat shield ford blue. I think that you probably need the heat shield anyway.

Select parts will be ford blue under the hood. Wire dressing will be blue too. I need some high temp paint for the engine compartment. But the vinyl paint, will that eventually rub off?
O.k. So I found out it was idling weird was from the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) I'm going to chang it this weekend or maybe before that.
I found a 5.0 and tranny from a Grand Marquis that only need an $11 rear main seal and rod bearings. I got it for $200. So the rebuilding of the engine and swap will soon begin.
Thanks for reading and I'll keep you all informed.

The paint should not rub off for a long time if the parts are prepped properly (clean with acetone or something like it). Obviously just like other paints, it may fade.
Sounds good with the new engine, have fun rebuilding!
I just finished the cold air intake. Looks good but either I move some things to make it sit better or I make a new tube with a different angle. It's 2" cause trying to get the 3" on there was being a pain.
UPDATE!!
I just got back from the junk yard with a 5.0 fuel pump and housing unit. Plus I grabbed 4 17 lb fuel injectors from a 3.1l 96' Grand Prix that fit perfectly into the 2.3l. I'm going to do the switch and let you all know how she does.
The 17 lb. injectors work perfect. And it gives it a bit more pep. Now she's running smooth and gives it a different sound when I floor it (WOT). Tomorrow i'll switch out the fuel pump from the stock 2.3l to a 5.0 GT stock fuel pump. Then i'll let you all know how it goes.
