What all are the differences? I've been looking around and so far from what I've read the differences are the ranger header, egr plumbing, and accessories placement. I went to the junkyard today to look at supposedly a 91 Ranger motor and I noticed that it was an 8 plug motor but the coil packs were mounted on different sides. Is this motor compatible with my ride? Any help or answers are appreciated, thanks guys.

Ford had two different dual plug heads. I wanna say it should be fine but I dont know too much about those engines accept they arent easily modded. I would just take what I need off of it.

My 1987 LX has a 2.3 from a Ranger too! I don't notice any differences. Runs great..... when it runs. Ha Ha.

Hey, The 93' mustang 2.3 should be dual plugged. My 1990 2.3 is single plugged but the engine that I'm swapping it with (1991 2.3) is double plugged and there is no problem with this swap and therefore there should not be any drastic differences (other than a few more horsepower, lol). Should be good to go!
