Default Where is the starter located?

My mom has a 1993 2.3l and i can not find where it is. Where is the starter? And whats next to it? Thanks!

usually hooked to the transmission.

it spins the flywheel ( where the trans and engine meet ) usually on the drivers side.

its small and a cylynder cant miss it!

i have yet to find some one else who when changing their oil ( every 2000 miles or when they get bored ) details the under side of their car.

X-C April 2010,Internals April 2011, or blown engine, witch ever comes first.

Huh?

Wrong engine 05 Horse.

The starter is on the passenger side of the 2.3l LIMA

lol it was an educated guess... atleast i got in to the area!

it's in a spot that's kind of a ***** to get to. on the passenger's side where the engine meets the trans. underneath the exhaust manifold and below where the o2 sensor is.

yep you found it. its not as hard to take out as it looks though. (if thats what your doing)

I just put a starter in my Capri (same thing as the Mustang) Three bolts hold it in (13mm) and one bolt holds the ground to it (10mm). Takes no time at all if you do it from underneath the car.
