Default 1992 mustang turbo swap question
hey there im possibly about to buy a complete 87' xr4ti, and im planning on swaping everything over to my 2.3 92' mustang. i know the engine and everything is pretty much the exact same but i was just wondering if the trasmission is a direct swap as well? since i know its not a t5. and my other question is would the rear gears hook up as well? thanks

The XR's had a T9. You need a T5. Completely different trannys.

so it wont bolt up to my car then? is it possible to just use the T5 i already have? as well do you know anything about swaping the rear gears?

Your Mustang T5 and bellhousing will bolt right up. The XR rearend will NOT work.

oh well that solves alot of my questions thanks .... one last question.. what rear end would be best to use? one out of a turbo coupe im guessing?
