Default 1993 ford mustang, need help

ok about a week ago i had to slam on the brakes to keep from hitting someone in front of me. ever since ive been hearing this scraping noise which i just thought was my exhaust rubbing the driveshaft again. well today i was rolling into a parking lot and it felt like the differential locked up on me, i think it might be leaking so im going to check that soon. i was wondering if anyone knows what this could be? oh and the scraping sound gets extremely loud when i turn right for some reason, dont know if this makes a difference, thanks for any help
