Hey I was wondering what transmission I have.. I have a 1991 Mustang Convertible 2.3L....It was originally an auto but the guy that owned it before me swapped in a 5 spd. The transmission looks larger than the one that came with a stock 2.3L.... I was wondering how to tell what it is and if its possible its one out of a 5.0.....thnx.. any help would be appreciated..

There should be a tag with numbers on it bolted to the tranny. Give me those numbers and I can tell you if it is or not a T-5 and if it is NW or WC.

the external size of the 4cylinder and v8 t5 are the same except for the bell housing

oh ok, thanks, where at on the transmission are these numbers, how difficult are they to reach.? Thanks!!!

no there should be a metal tag with numbers on it somewhere
