I went to a store and rolled up my windows. I turned the a/c on for my wife as I ran in. When I came out I seen alot of black smoke coming from the tailpipe. What is the reason for this?

That's what I thought after I put in the 17 lb injectors. What could cause that and how can I fix it?

If you put in bigger injectors and don't tune for them, it will run rich.

How do I "Tune" my car for the bigger injectors? Do I need an adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

Yea im also looking to put in new injectors. And i wan tto know how to tune "it up". Full explaination is needed. in laymans terms

You need to have someone change some of the parameters and settings in the computer for the added mods. You can not just change to a different size injector, unless your MAF is calibrated for it, or you have someone "tune" the computer..... I am not sure if there is any software out there to tune the factory computers in the 2.3's or not. I come from the LSX world of modding. There is all kinds of software out there for them. The only thing that I know of off hand is a Mega-Squirt piggy back controller, that might work for the 2.3's. I am still trying to figure out how to do my 2.3.... I might just switch to a carb.

Can I put a 5.0 maf on it and be done?

I doubt it.... I am more familar with LSX motors than the 2.3's.
