Get the boost solenoid. I am not sure if there is a Boost Control Module on the TC or if the EEC perfoms that function. Maybe someone else can chime in on that.
-Fan
-Air Cleaner (sell it for monies of you don't use it)
-There is a ride control module as well I think. You can sell it off.

In addition, I would strip off things like headlights and mounting brackets, grill pieces, tail lights, etc and sell them off.

Just reread and tried to get updated on your swap. I done the 86 computer to my 89 Mustang. The vam wiring is differant. Like already pointed out the La and LB computer and big vam are a good upgrade. Here is my photobucket if go to last page has the 86 motor in it and first page is as it is now. If can helps ask.

Get a 7/8ths inch long socket and a breaker bar and plenty of pb blaster and a torch. that o2 sensor is a *****. try getting a kit from sears that can remove bolts with the heads broken off.

What kind of clutch? I just installed a new clutch kit on my stock 2.3, but I was thinking I would step it up to a 5.0 flywheel, clutch, and pressure plate when I put in my turbo motor!

Is that the same size as the N/A 2.3 clutch? Cause I was thinking that mayeb the regular 2.3 clutch wouldn't hold up very well on a hard launch...?
