Default Name that sensor! '89 2.3L Mustang

I'm swapping the stock head on my 89 Mustang for the dual plug head from a 93 Mustang...

In the process, I'm forced to change some other parts, such as the intake manifold. Most of the sensors I have figured out where they correspond from one head to the other and from one intake to the other.

However, there is one sensor I can't identify. It is located on the intake tube for cylinder 3 on the 89 intake manifold. I figure it has something to do with air flow, but am not positive.

The question is, what is this sensor and is there either a way to replace it on the 93 head/intake or delete it without screwing up anything?

Is it on the bottom of the intake? Maybe more between cyls 2&3? Kinda sounds like the coolant temp sensor. There's a water passage in the head that mates up to a cavity on the intake manifold between 2&3. The coolant temp sensor is on the end about where the runners turn up to meet the upper intake.

On the DP setup, the coolant temp sensor was moved to a special tee fitting on one of the heater hoses.

Are you switching to the DIS setup from the 93 or are you trying to use your existing distributor?

That DP intake won't fit with the distributor. The cap sits about where the #1 runner is.

The sensor is in the airflow... did some more research and looks like it is the Air Charge Temperature sensor?

Thanks for the heads up on the distributor clearance issue. Looks like I have some more R&D in store for this weekend

It very well could be the ACT. It's in the airbox on the DP cars.
