Default Not exactly a technical Q more of a statement that needs assurance. A/C 91 convert lx

ive noticed when im up high in rpms my ac starts blowing hot. which is probably good because it gives the car power where it needs it. but in texas that hot air adds insult to injury seriously

is that normal or am i lookling at compression issues?

in my truck it happend to be a vacume leak that caused that. when you really give ti gas does your vents switch too?


like mine would also go from vents to defrosters, then blow hot air

hmm i dont know. i just barely notcied it yesterday trying to keep up with my friend in a v8 chevy 1500.. which is not easy especially off a red light holy crap. how would i go about checking for leaks?

you know what..... actually my vents started blowing weaker now i think about it. but when im stopped or going at a normal rpm it blows cold and dandy

I think that you are talking about the wide open throttle cut-out. It is supposed to do that.

It's NOT normal under regular driving conditions. The previous poster who mentioned the vacuum leak is correct. It's typically a check valve that goes bad on the main vacuum line to the climate control.

he said it was fine on normal driving conditions. "its fine and dandy when idling" but when he gives it gas hard is when it cuts out. sounds like WOT cut-out to me.

He indicated that it only has a "problem" under hard acceleration.

thats how it works.

its fine till it tries to draw alot of vacume. then it cuts out.

it could be anything, im just saying look for a leak.

yea with 95% humidity and it being over 100 degrees id love to see someone try that. nighttime its straight but hell no, no way in the daytime
